ANGELO KING FOUNDATION, INC. SCHOLARSHIP


Applicants for the grant must be bona fide students enrolled in BS Mathematics, BS Chemistry or BS Biology; for freshmen, must have qualified for admission in the University of the Philippines by passing the U.P. College Admission Test; for junior and senior students, must have an average of “2.50” or better in the previous semester with no grade of “5.00”, unremoved grade “4.00” or “incomplete”.

Benefits: School fees as assessed but not to exceed P5,000.00/semester;
Book allowance of P500.00/semester; Stipend of P1,300.00/month.

BETA SIGMA NORTHWEST SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship shall have the following qualifications: must be a member of good standing of the BETA Sigma Fraternity who is enrolled in UP Diliman/Manila; if  an entering freshman, must have passed the UPCAT; if already enrolled, must have obtained an average grade of "2.5" or better and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of "5.00" or unremoved "4.00" or "inc." in the semester immediately preceding the application; must belong to a family whose parents' annual gross income is less than P500,000.00 must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.

Benefits: School fees as assessed but not to exceed P6,000.00/semester;
Book allowance of P750.00/semester; monthly stipend at P1,000.00; transportation allowance P150/month.

CHEVRON GEOTHERMAL PHILIPPINE HOLDINGS INC. (CGPHI)
 
An applicant for the scholarship must be a bona fide third to fifth year B.S. Mechanical and B.S. Chemical Engineering students, third to fifth year B.S. Chemistry, B.S. Physics, B.S. Applied Physics, third to fourth year B.S. Geology students, third to fourth year B.S. Economics and B.S. Business Administration students, third to fourth year B.S. Social Work, B.S. Community Development and B.S. Mass Communication students; must be a Filipino citizen; must belong to Bracket 7 or lower based on the Socialized Tuition and Financial Assistance Program (STFAP) of the University; must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.50” in all subjects taken during the previous semester; must have no grade of “5.00” or unremoved grade of “4.00” or “Incomplete” in the immediately preceding semester; must not have been found guilty of violation of any of the rules and regulations of the University, including but not limited to hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on-campus or off-campus.

Benefits: School fees up to exceed P6,000.00/sem; Book allowance of P1,500.00/sem;
Monthly stipend of P3,000.00; Transportation allowance of P500.00/mo.

EDUARDO CO SETENG SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship must be a bona fide sophomore B.S. Electrical Engineering student; must have obtained an average of “2.25” or better during the immediately preceding semester for a load of not less than 15 units or the normal load required in his course if less than 15 units; must have no grade of “5.00”,  unremoved grade of “4.00” or “inc.” In the preceding semester; must not have been the subject of disciplinary action; the grantee shall be selected on the basis of the results of the competitive examination to be given by the Office of Scholarships and Student Services to the top five applicants.

Benefits: Full amount of tuition and other matriculation fees; book allowance of P500.00/sem; monthly stipend of P700.00.

F.A.H.A. SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the grant must be bona fide undergraduate student of the University of the Philippines who is at least in his/her third year; must be a Filipino citizen; must be enrolled in any course in Education; must have obtained an average of at least “2.50” and must have carried a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “Inc.” in the semester immediately preceding the application; must be financially deserving. A student is financially deserving if his parents’ annual gross income qualifies him/her for Bracket 7 or lower under the STFAP program of the University; must not have been found guilty of violation of any of the rules and regulations of the University, including but not limited to hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on-campus or off-campus.

Benefits: Actual interest earnings of the fund but not to exceed P10,750.00 per semester, broken down as follows: school fees as assessed but not to exceed P5,000.00/sem; book allowance of P750.00/sem; monthly stipend of P1,000.00.

FIL-AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF FLORIDA SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants for the scholarship must be enrolled in any field of study but preferably, in the Phil. Arts, Music, Literature, or History;  must have a weighted average of at least “2.50” in all subjects taken;  must not have a grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “Inc.” during the semester immediately preceding the application;  must not have been subject to disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.

Benefits: school fees as assessed estimated at P6,000/sem.; book allowance of P1,000/sem.; monthly stipend of P2,300.

FILIPINO INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY GROUP, USA SCHOLARSHIP (FITG)

An applicant for the scholarship must be a Filipino citizen; must be a bona fide freshman student pursuing B.S. Computer Science; must have passed the UPCAT; if already enrolled as a freshman, must have obtained an average of “2.00” or better for a load of at least 15 units with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “inc.” in the semester immediately preceding the application; must not have been in the delinquent list in any given time; must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant; must be financially needy (must belong to STFAP Bracket 7 or lower); must submit an essay on a topic to be chosen by the grantor; must not transfer to any course or go on leave of absence without prior approval from the Office of Scholarships and Student Services; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.
Benefits:  School fees up to P6,000/semester ; Book Allowance of P1,000/semester;    Monthly stipend of P2,300.

FRANCISCO BENITEZ SCHOLARSHIP

Open to male freshman or sophomore B.S. Education students, but exception may be made in case of specially needy and meritorious students in junior or senior year with the following qualifications; must be natural born citizens; must have a weighted average of “2.50” or better in the semester immeaditely preceding the application; must have no grade of “5.00” or “4.00” and have carried a normal load in the semester immediately preceding the application; any grade of “inc.” must be removed on or before the last day for late registration of the following semester; must come from a family whose parents’ annual gross income does not exceed P100,000; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action; must not be enjoying any other scholarship or financial assistance.
    
    Benefits:  P 7,500.00/sem

FRANCISCO J. NICOLAS SCHOLARSHIPS

 An applicant for the grant must be a bona fide incoming freshman of the University of the Philippines from the Bicol Region, preferably Sorsogon; if no one from the Bicol region qualifies, the scholarship must be open to other students; must pursue any of the following fields: Agriculture (specializing in Agronomy, Animal Science, Agricultural Extension, Horticulture, Plant Pathology or Soil Science), Fisheries, Forestry, Library and Information Science, Nutrition, Social Work and Community Development; must belong to STFAP Bracket 1-5 (Bracket D)

Benefits: School fees as assessed but not to exceed P6,500.00/sem;
Book allowance of P1,500.00/sem; Lodging allowance of P500.00/mo.;
Food allowance of P1.500.00/mo.; Transpo allowance of P3,000 every 10 months.

INSULAR LIFE FOUNDATION COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP GRANT

An applicant for the scholarship must have the following qualifications: must be a bona fide student of the University of the Philippines, Diliman, enrolled in Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education, or Bachelor of Science in Mathematics; must be an incoming freshman, and must have passed the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT); must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award of the grant; must be financially needy (parents annual gross income must not exceed 200,000.00; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.

Benefits:  Actual tuition & miscellaneous as assessed but not to exceed P20,000/semester
         Book Allowance of P3,000/semester; Monthly stipend of P3,000

MADRONO & DONATA V. ABIS MEMORIAL FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP FOR B.S. CHEMISTRY STUDENTS

 An applicant for the scholarship must be a freshman student who has the following qualification; must be financially needy; a student is financially needy if his/her financial situation qualifies him/her for STFAP Bracket 7 (Bracket C) or lower; must have qualified for admission in the Chemistry Program; must not be enjoying any other scholarships or financial assistance; must not have been the subject of disciplinary action.

Benefits:  Actual interest earnings of the scholarship fund but not to exceed P5,000 per semester.

MARY JANE T. LU SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants for the scholarship must be College of Business Administration students; Filipino citizens; must not be a holder of any other scholarship or financial assistance.  In case they hold another scholarship/financial assistance, the Office of Scholarships and Financial Assistance must be properly informed so that there will be no duplication of benefits; must not have been the subject to any disciplinary action involving a penalty of at least five days suspension, or found guilty of a more serious offense; must not have been found guilty of participating in any violent incident, such as hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on-campus or off-campus

NICOLAS ZAFRA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship must be bona fide History students; must have a general weighted average of at least “1.75” in all History subjects and a general weighted average in all subjects of “2.25”.  Any grade of “4.00” or “inc.” must be removed before the immediately following registration period; must not have been the subject of disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension; must not be enjoying any other grant of financial assistance.

Benefits:  P1,000.00/semester

OVERSEAS KOREAN TRADERS ASSOCIATION IN THE PHILIPPINES STUDY GRANT (OKTA)

An applicant for the scholarship shall have the following qualifications; must be bona fide freshman student in the College of Law; must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P200,000); must not be a recipient of any other scholarship grant or financial assistance. In case he/she holds other scholarship/financial assistance, the Office of Scholarships and Student Services must be properly informed so that there will be no duplication of benefits; must not have been subject of disciplinary action.

Benefits:  P40,000.00/year/scholar

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (AVE) SPONSORED BY CONG. EULOGIO R. MAGSAYSAY

Applicants for the scholarship must be bona fide junior students; must be enrolled in any Science & Technology related course offering of the University/College; must be Filipino citizens; must carry the regular load prescribed by the course; must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.0” in all subjects taken in previous semesters; must not be a recipient of any other scholarship grant; must be in good health; must have no current employment or lucrative occupation; must be a deserving student who comes from a family with an aggregate monthly income of not more than Php 8,000.00.

Semestral benefits: P3,000.00

                    1 UP Mindanao)

SCIENCE OF THE MIND SCHOLARSHIP

 An applicant for the scholarship must be bona fide student pursuing a baccalaureate degree in a college observing the semestral system; must have earned a weighted average grade of at least “2.5” with no unremoved grade of “4” or “Inc.”, during the preceding semester, “semester” as used in this rule to be understood as distinguished from a summer term, a trimester, or any quarter term; must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P100,000.00); must not be enjoying any other scholarship; must not be employed as a student worker (e.g., student assistant or in any other capacity) in the University or in any other institution; must not be a working student; must not have been the subject of disciplinary penalty heavier than a 5-day class suspension.

Benefits: school fees as assessed but not to exceed P6,000.00/sem;
Book allowance of P750.00/sem; monthly allowance of P800/sem.

SINCLAIR KNIGHT GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship grant shall have the following qualifications; must be bonafide graduate student of the School of Urban and Regional Planning, U.P. Diliman; must pursue full time program of study and must carry the regular load (12 units) during the semester; if already enrolled, he must have obtained an average of at least “1.50” in the semester immediately preceding the application with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “incomplete”; if seeking entry into the program, the applicant must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.00” or better in his undergraduate degree and must have passed the MURP admission exams; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.

Benefits:  Actual interest earnings of the fund but not exceeding P8,000 per semester.

SUMITOMO CORPORATION SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the grant must be at least 2nd year student in any four-year course and 3rd year in a five-year course; must be a Filipino citizen; must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.00” in all subjects taken; must have no grade of “5.00” or unremoved grade of “4.00” or “Incomplete”; must not be more than 30 years of age; must not be a recipient of any other similar scholarship or financial assistance; must have been recommended by a former professor/instructor; must be financially deserving; must be of good moral character; must not have been found guilty of violation of any of the rules and regulations of the University including but not limited to hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on-campus or off-campus.

Benefits: School fees up to P6,000.00/sem; Book allowance of P1,500/sem;
Monthly stipend of P2,000.00/mo; Transportation allowance of P500/mo.
    Available slots:  3rd to 4th  yr.( 5 yr. Course (2 slots);)
             4th yr. (4 yr. Course- 1 slot)
    
UP ALUMNI ASSOCIATION IN AMERICA II (UPAAA II)
 
Applicants for the grant must be bona fide third or fourth year student in the College of Arts and Letters in UP Diliman; must be a Filipino citizen; must not have any other scholarship or financial assistance, in case he/she holds other scholarship/financial assistance, the Office of Scholarships and Student Services must be properly informed so that there will be no duplication of benefits; must be financially needy (must belong to the lower income brackets as defined by the University); must have obtained a general weighted average of at least “2.00” with no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “Inc.” by the time of application; must not have been found guilty of dishonesty or participation in any violent incident, such as hazing and/or fraternity rumbles, whether on campus or off-campus.

Benefits: Interest earnings but not to exceed P50,000.00 per year.

UPAA-TOMAS S. FONACIER, DELFIN J. JARANILLA, ET. AL., SCHOLARSHIP FOR CULTURAL MINORITIES IN THE PHILIPPINES

An applicant for the grant must be a bona fide freshman student of the University of the Philippines; must be enrolled in any four-or-five-year degree program and must carry a normal load of at least 15 units per semester; must have qualified for admission; if already enrolled, must have a weighted average of at least “2.5” during the immediately preceding semester; must be financially needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P200,000); must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five day class suspension.

Benefits: School fees as assessed up to p6,500/sem.; Book Allowance of p1,000/sem;
  Stipend of P1,500/mo.; Board and Lodging at P1,500/mo.

UP ALUMNI IN MINNESOTA (UPAM) SCHOLARSHIP

The scholarship is open to two senior students, one from the rural area and one from either the Metro Manila or other Urban areas. The scholarship grant shall have the following qualifications; must be a Filipino citizen and a bona fide student of the University of the Philippines; must be a student in his/her final year; must have obtained a weighted average of “2.5” or better and must have carried a load of at least of 15 units with no grade of “5.00” in the semester immediately preceding the application.  Any grade of “4.00” or “Incomplete” must be removed or completed on or before the last day pf registration of the following semester; must be enrolled in at least 15 units of at the time of the award of the grant; must be financially needy (A student is financially deserving if his/her financial situation qualifies him/her for STFAP Bracket 1); must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action;

Benefits : School fees up to P7,200; Monthly stipend of P1,250/mo.; Book, Transportation and Lodging subsidy/allowance  P3,000.
    
UP BETA SIGMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC. SCHOLARSHIP – SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CHAPTER

An applicant must be a freshman student of UP Diliman; must have passed the
UPCAT;  if already enrolled must have obtained an average of at least “2.00” during the
semester immediately preceding the application for a load of not less than 15 units with
no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “inc.”;  must be enrolled in any course in the
College of Science and/or College of Social Sciences and Philosophy; must be financially
needy (parents’ annual gross income must not exceed P300,000.00);  must not be the
subject of any disciplinary action worse than a five-day class suspension.

Benefits:  School fees as assessed but not to exceed P5,000/sem; book allowance of P500/sem.; monthly stipend of P500.
    
UP CLASS 1958 INTERCOLLEGE FOUNDATION, INC.

An applicant for the scholarship must be bona fide graduating student of UP Diliman enrolled in any four-or-five year degree program; must have obtained a GWA of at least “2.50“ for the past three years immediately preceding the application; must be enrolled in at least 15 units at the time of the award; must be financially needy (must belong to STFAP Brackets 1-4) and; must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action;  must write a short essay not exceeding one page on “Why I should be awarded the scholarship?”.

Benefits: Book Allowance of P2,500.00/semester; Monthly stipend of P3,000.00
      Monthly transportation allowance of P1,500.00

VICENTE SANTIAGO Y DEL ROSARIO SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship must be a male College of Law student with pleasing personality; must be financially needy; must have completed at least two semesters carrying the regular load; must have a weighted average of at least “2.00”; must be a full-time student; must have good moral character and no record of disciplinary penalty.

Benefits:  P9,000.00 per semester.

WILLY KENG SCHOLARSHIP

An applicant for the scholarship shall have the following qualifications:  must be third or fourth year undergraduate students of the University of the Philippines, must have obtained a general weighted average of “2.00” or better and must have no grade of “5.00” or unremoved “4.00” or “inc” in the semester immediately preceding the application, if applying for undergraduate level. If applying for the graduate slots, must have a general weighted average of “1.75” or better with no grade of “dropped” or “incomplete except in Ph.D Political Science where the general weighted average must be “1.50” or better in at least 12 units; must be enrolled in at least 15 units for the undergraduate level and in 12 units for the graduate level at the time of the award of the grant; must be financially needy (parents annual gross income must not exceed P300,000); must not have been the subject of any disciplinary action.
