Writings of Department of Art Studies professors Patrick D. Flores and Clod Marlan Krister Yambao are featured in the February 2015 issue of Kritika Kultura, an internationally refereed journal.

Flores’ essay, “The Zobel Nexus,” examines the role of Fernando Zobel in shaping the discourses of ┬áculture and art history in the Philippines as an artist, collector, connoisseur, and member of an “economically ascendant clan.”

Yambao’s monograph, “Global Aestheticscapes: Re-imag(in)ing the Global Experiences of Selected Artists Through Their Installation Works,” analyzes the contemporary global condition of Filipino art production utilizing the critical category of “aestheticscapes.”

Both works can be downloaded from the Kritika Kultura website here.
